Venelin Kokalov of Revery Architects in Conversation at WVML

Founder of the studio behind PNE Amphitheatre talks influence and inspiration

West Vancouver, B.C.—Acclaimed architct Venelin Kokalov joins curator Pantea Haghihi on Friday, June 12 from 7 – 8:30 p.m. at the West Vancouver Memorial Library for an engaging discussion on the formative experiences that shaped Kokalov’s life and career.

Revery Architecture is the firm behind many notable buildings such as the new PNE Amphitheatre, Sen̓áḵw – the Squamish Nation led 6,000 unit mixed-use building, SFU Sustainable Energy Engineering Building, and several other national and international projects.

BIG IDEAS: Venelin Kokalov of Revery Architects in Conversation with Pantea Haghighi promises to be an exciting evening offering insight into the studio’s creative process, the ideas and inspirations that continue to shape its vision and define its approach to architecture.

“I’m looking forward to learning more about the buildings I pass every day,” shares Taren Urqhart, Arts and Special Events Coordinator at WVML. “From the Butterfly and First Baptist Church Complex on Burrard downtown to the Surrey City Centre Library, Revery’s work is highly visible across the city.”

The event will begin with a Traditional Welcome offered by Chepximiya Siyam’ Chief Dr. Janice George.

Art and architecture enthusiasts can also visit the exhibition Dreamers: The Art of Revery Architecture at the West Vancouver Art Museum, on from May 20 to July 18, 2026.
