The Library does not accept any donated materials.

Please do not leave donated items into the book drops.

Here are some locations that do accept book donations:
  1. Your neighbourhood LittleFreeLibrary: The two closest to WVML are located at 2168 Lawson Avenue and 457 Oxley Street N.
  2. The Salvation Army:
    Located at 1582 Marine Drive,
  3. Community-run little free libraries located in front of First Church of Christ at Esquimalt Avenue and 20th Street and at Fulton Avenue and 11th Street.
  4. Seniors’ Activity Centre (SAC): Accepts fiction and paperback books in good condition for the SAC front lobby bookstore. The SACS on 21st Gift Shop accepts hardcover books in good condition.
  5. North Vancouver District Public Library: Accepts books published within the last five years and in good physical condition. 
  6. Booklovers Used Books: Located in North Vancouver at 175 E 3rd Street. May give store credit in exchange for donations (ask in-store for details).
  7. North Shore Recycling and Waste Centre: Accepts books for donation (not recycling) at 30 Riverside Drive West, North Vancouver.
  8. Book’mark @ Vancouver Public Library (Central Branch): Accepts gently-used books.
  9. Write to Read: Contact for enquiries about donating books to Rotary Clubs in BC involved in literacy projects. 
  10. Books for Me! Literacy Foundation: Accepts good quality non-fiction children’s books and early learning books for preschool-age kids.
  11. Books to Prisoners: Accepts paperback books in good condition. See their Wishlist for specific genres and languages.
  12. Textbooks for Change: Accepts textbooks published within the last 15 years. Vancouver’s dropbox is located at Langara College, 100 W 49th Ave, outside the bookstore.
  13. Big Brothers: Donation pickup service.

  1. Lawrence Books: 3591 W 41st Avenue, Vancouver.
  2. MacLeod’s Books: 455 W Pender Street, Vancouver.
  3. Pulpfiction Books: 2422 Main Street and 1744 Commercial Drive, Vancouver.
  4. Tanglewood Books: 2306 W Broadway, Vancouver.
