Computer Essentials II: Files, Folders, and Storage

FreeLearn the basics of file management in Windows. This class will take you through creating, moving, and copying files, creating and managing folders, and transferring files to USB drives. Basic computer experience, or completion of our Computer Essentials I class, is required.
After this class, you will be able to:
- Identify the different drives on a computer
- Recognize different types of external storage (e.g. USB drive)
- Use File Explorer to navigate folders
- Create a folder
- Move, rename, copy, and paste files
- Delete and retrieve files from the recycle bin
- Save a file to a USB and eject the drive properly
- Identify file extensions (e.g. “.docx”) and what they mean
- Use the search function to find files
