Call for Artists
Open Call for Ideas and Interest
Submission deadline: Ongoing
The West Vancouver Memorial Library recognized that the arts are a distinguishing characteristic of our community’s identity. Up to six gallery shows are presented each year and displayed for a two-month period. Of these, two shows per year are dedicated to featuring community artists in a setting that invites connection and reflection.
WVML invites visual artists to submit ideas and artwork for display within the Library’s Gallery space. Priority will be given to artists that reside or maintain a studio space within West Vancouver. Consideration will also be given to the artists from North Vancouver, Bowen Island, Squamish, Whistler, and the Sunshine Coast.
Please complete the form below and submit at least three pieces of artwork for review. Artwork may be in any medium. Delivery and shipping fees at artists expense. Maximum dimensions: for free-standing sculpture/3D work can not exceed 16” (height) and 12” (length/width); for 2D works, not larger than 2 metre in width. If your work is chosen for display, you will be contacted and supplied with further information.
Please direct any questions to Taren Urquhart, Arts and Special Events Programmer at turquhart@westvanlibrary.ca or 604-925-7446.
