WVML Announces 2025 Board of Trustees

West Vancouver, B.C.—The West Vancouver Memorial Library Board is pleased to welcome Annabelle Donovan, Heather Kaart, Wilma Marais, Patricia Morris, and Helen Vanee to the Board.  

Board Chair Tracy Wachmann and Vice-Chair Andrew Krawczyk reached the end of their two-year terms in these roles. The Board recognizes their service and is grateful both will continue as Trustees. At the December 11, 2024 meeting, the Board elected Andrew Krawczyk as Chair and Tracy Wachmann as Vice-Chair. 

2025 Board Trustees are:  

Andrew Krawczyk, Chair – Retired high school principal; international education consultant.
Tracy Wachmann, Vice–Chair – Retired lawyer.
Annabelle Donovan – HR Consultant and retired HR Executive.
Bahar Hafizi – Corporate commercial lawyer.
Emma He – Senior software project manager.
Heather Kaart – Retired marketing and analytics executive
Wilma Marais – Human Resources executive.
Patricia Morris – Retired adult educator.
Alastair Nimmons – Senior Finance Executive.
Sahar Sanajou – Customer Service Representative at CIBC.
Sharon Thompson, Council Representative – District of West Vancouver Council.
Helen Vanee – Secondary school principal.
Lorena Yu – Entrepreneur.  

The Board appreciates the service of departing Trustees Petra Cottier, Dieter Diedericks, Cynthia Garton, and Koichi Ronald Shimoda and wishes them well in their future endeavours.

Library Trustees are instrumental in ensuring that the leadership, policies, relationships, financial resources, and infrastructure are in place to support the success of the Library. The 2025 Business Plan and Strategic Framework are now available online for the public. Information on the roles of Library Board Trustees and upcoming meetings are available online.
