West Vancouver, B.C.—The West Vancouver Memorial Library Board is pleased to welcome Bahar Hafizi to the Board.
West Vancouver Councillor Sharon Thompson also joins the Board as Council liaison.
Board Chair Alastair Nimmons and Vice-Chair Cynthia Garton reached the end of their two-year terms in these roles. The Board recognizes their service and is grateful both will continue as Trustees.
At the January 18 meeting, the Board elected Trustee Tracy Wachmann as Chair and Trustee Andrew Krawczyk as Vice-Chair.

Tracy Wachmann, Chair – Retired lawyer.
Andrew Krawczyk, Vice-Chair – Retired high school principal; international education consultant.
Petra Cottier – Retired Corporate controller.
Dieter Diedericks – Professional Engineer and Project Management Professional.
Cynthia Garton – Retired school administrator.
Bahar Hafizi – Corporate commercial lawyer.
Alastair Nimmons – Senior Finance Executive.
Sahar Sanajou – Customer Service Representative at CIBC.
Koichi Ronald Shimoda – Retired senior financial global executive.
Sharon Thompson, Council Representative – District of West Vancouver Council.
Lorena Yu – Entrepreneur.
The Board appreciates the service of departing Trustees Richard Fisher, Jatinder Sidhu, and Felicia Zhu and wishes them well in their future endeavours.
Library Trustees are instrumental in ensuring that the leadership, policies, relationships, financial resources, and infrastructure are in place to support the success of the Library.
