Cooking from the Garden with Bri Beaudoin: Making the Most of BC Fruit
Sunday, July 28 at 3 p.m.–4:15 p.m.
FreeJoin cookbook author Bri Beaudoin to learn more about local BC fruit, get ideas for what to cook and bake with local fruit, and discuss preservation tips for longer storage. Bri will also share some easy recipes you can try at home.
Nothing beats fresh, locally-grown fruit! While year-round imported fruit is certainly convenient for grocery stores, locally grown fruit is tastier, better for you, and more environmentally friendly. And there’s no better time to enjoy local fruit than now. Apples, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, nectarines, and peaches are all in season in August…and that’s not all!
