Booktopia

A Literary Arts Festival for Young People

For the 2022/2023 school year, Booktopia remains completely virtual with author/illustrator presentations streamed live via the Library YouTube channel for everyone to enjoy in February and April. We’ll also offer registered virtual creative and literary programs for kids in the weeks leading up to the presentations.

Started in 2005, Booktopia is West Vancouver’s Literary Arts Festival for young people. Booktopia promotes literacy, celebrates language arts, and cultivates creative thought amongst kids, teens, and families in West Vancouver. Past speakers have included Jacqueline Woodson, Jerry Craft, Kazu Kibuishi, Christina Soontornvat, Kate DiCamillo and dozens of other internationally renowned authors and illustrators.

Booktopia is a partnership between the West Vancouver Memorial Library Foundation and West Vancouver Schools.
