Backed by a band of Vancouver-based musicians, Sam Lynch will perform a selection of her work, including currently released material, songs from her upcoming album Outline (due for release in November 2024), and new works-in-progress developed during the West Vancouver Memorial Library Sound Artist in Residence.
Sam Lynch is a Vancouver-based singer-songwriter, musician, and producer. Her work explores existence, isolation, and introspection with striking profundity and clarity. Sam’s debut LP, Little Disappearance, released via Winnipeg label Birthday Cake Records, propelled her onto some of the country’s biggest venues and festival stages, appearing in headlining roles and support of artists such as Men I Trust, Andy Shauf, and Faye Webster. Sam’s songwriting contributions have earned her numerous awards and accolades, including the 2022 Western Canadian Music “Songwriter of the Year” award. Sam’s highly anticipated sophomore LP is scheduled for release in Fall 2024.
Library concerts are made possible thanks to a generous bequest from the estate of Robert Leslie Welsh. This fall’s concert series is sponsored by Amica West Vancouver and British Pacific Properties through the WVML Foundation.
