Practise your reading skills by signing up for an appointment to read with Elqui, a certified St. John Ambulance therapy dog! Research shows that reading to a dog is tremendously motivational for kids and provides a calming, relaxed environment for children who may feel hesitant or anxious about reading.
Paws 4 Stories runs on Fridays, August 9 – September 6. Sessions are 20 minutes. Elqui wants to meet as many kids as possible. Please only register for a maximum of two sessions during the fiver-week series. Kids must be school-aged, able to read some English independently, and feel comfortable reading with a dog and the dog’s adult handler.
Tickets will be available on July 1, 2024
