The Lab at WVMLDesigned to promote active participation and social interaction, The Lab transforms digital learning into a collaborative and creative experience.

We offer unique learning streams for digital learners of all ages:

Use It 

Learn the basics of using devices and software through guided, hands-on instruction. Little to no experience required.

Share It 

Preserve and share your personal and community memories by converting home movies, slides, photographs and even family recipes into digital files.

Develop It 

Write basic code, scripts and programs to make computers and electronic circuit boards work.

Create It 

Communicate effectively online with digital media: blogs, videos, podcasts, websites and social media.

Imagine It 

Explore emerging technologies and big ideas with guest speakers and resident experts.

About the Lab  

The Lab at WVMLKey features 

• Daylight spectrum light boxes on opposite walls that double as whiteboards for capturing group work 

• Group work stations that allow multiple people to participate in activities 

• Four large screen monitors for displaying instructional material, conducting online research, creating digital content, videoconferencing and wireless presentations

• High-definition laser projector and green screen

Visiting The Lab

The Lab at West Vancouver Memorial Library hosts a rotating schedule of programs and is also open for drop-in sessions and group visits for schools and community groups. To arrange a tour, please contact Sarah Felkar, Head of Technology, at 604.925.7443.
