January 24, 2024 at 3:45 p.m.–5 p.m.
An event every week that begins at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday, repeating until January 31, 2024

In this four-week course, students will explore the exciting world of coding animation! Unleash your inner artist and coder as you dive into animation software with Micro: Bits. Craft animated faces, simulate a volcano eruption, and more. Explore the blend of coding and creativity — whether you love coding or art. This workshop offers hands-on experiences with physical Micro: Bits, ensuring an immersive adventure.
Registration is required and opens December 1 at 10 a.m. This is a series of four classes running on Wednesdays, January 10, 17, 24, and 31, from 3:45 to 5 p.m. By registering for one, you are registered for all sessions. Please only register if you plan to attend all four classes.
Are you registering more than one child? Please register each child separately. Caregivers of children younger than ten must stay in the Library for the duration of the program.
About Koala Koders:
Koala Koders started in May of 2022 to provide free coding education to kids and teens around the Vancouver area. Through Koala Koders, students will learn about fundamental coding concepts, how to create their projects, and more, all while having fun doing so! Koala Koders is established at the North Vancouver District Library, North Vancouver City Library, and West Vancouver Memorial Library. We hope to engage our students and give them a jumpstart into the world of STEM!
