Join Leah of Lethal Lites Candles for an afternoon of candle-making!
As a candle crafting expert, Leah will walk you through the candle-making process, including how to:
- Understand wax characteristics and choose the correct wick for the wax and the size of the vessel
- How to prepare the vessel and set wicks
- Understand fragrance loads, the percentage of fragrance oil to the amount of total wax
- Use of colour and shimmery mica (optional)
- Melt and pour candle wax
- Troubleshoot common issues
You should bring the following items:
- TWO of your own vintage or unique vessels (up to 16oz ) to pour your candle in. Examples include teacups, vintage art glass, and Japanese teacups.
- If you do not have a vessel, we will provide one.
- When choosing your vessels, we encourage you to bring something that holds particular value in your heart. For example, a teacup that reminds you of your grandma or mother. Don’t worry; the wick, flame, and wax will not damage your cup.
- Leah will bring her famous hand-pressed flowers to decorate your candles.
