Movie Matinée: Food Synergy followed by Q&A session with filmmaker Vivian Davidson

FreeJoin filmmaker Vivian Davidson for a screening of her latest film, Food Synergy, followed by a question and answer session.
Globally, avoidable food waste is worth $936 billion annually and the carbon footprint of food waste is 4 times the carbon footprint of the aviation industry. Food Synergy is a mixed media feature documentary, sharing positive stories to empower you to love food and fight waste. What makes it unique is its life cycle approach from farm to plate, demonstrating how this problem can be solved with practical, often simple solutions across the food supply-chain.

Vivian Davidson comes from a very eclectic cultural background, including Scottish, German, French, and Spanish. She was born in Mexico City, has lived in many countries, and has proudly called Vancouver her home for over 15 wonderful years. She constantly seeks ways to combine her passions of activism and film-making while inspiring people to improve their lives, and that of the communities and planet we all call home. With a degree from UBC in International Relations and sustainable development, environmental stewardship has always been important to her. As a filmmaker, she is interested in a broad range of topics, and her mission is to leave this planet better than she found it and encourage people to do the same.
