Tech Talk: Bald Eagle Migration and GPS Tracking

FreeDiscover the fascinating world of bald eagle migration with the Hancock Wildlife Foundation. Learn how state-of-the-art GPS trackers aid conservation efforts and give us a rare glimpse into the lives of these magnificent creatures – including two that live very close to the Library!
Established by David Hancock in 2006, The Hancock Wildlife Foundation promotes conserving and appreciating wildlife and their habitats through science, education, and stewardship.
Dr. Michael Seear is currently a Clinical Professor of Medicine at UBC and is head of the Division of Respiratory Medicine at Children’s Hospital in Vancouver. He has been a member of the board of the Hancock Foundation for a year. Dr. Seear spent two years working with raptors at O.W.L. and his particular interest is in supporting rigorous scientific research into raptor biology.
