Whether you have a question, need a recommendation, or want help using your device, we are here to provide assistance on LibraryConnect between 10 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.
Check out the Readers’ Rooftop!
Formerly the rooftop parking lot, the Readers’ Rooftop is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on days the Library is open, weather permitting. We hope you’ll enjoy this space for reading and connecting (to others or to the Wi-Fi!). Please remember to practise physical distancing and only gather in groups of up to 6 people. This space is generously funded by the WVML Foundation.
What you can expect when you visit WVML
Beginning July 7, our new hours will be 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. Our LibraryConnect phone, chat, and email service will have these same hours. In addition, we’ll have dedicated service hours from 9 to 10 a.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays for the elderly and most vulnerable.
This means you may need to wait to enter the Library or the Youth Department until we can accommodate you. Due to reduced occupancy, there will be no study spaces, meeting rooms, or public seating available in the Library. At this time, all of our Library events and programs are virtual.
Public computers & technology
We have a limited number of public computers available for drop-in use. For computer and device help, you can continue to contact us on LibraryConnect—our tech staff are happy to help.
Enhanced safety measures
You’ll see lineups, signage, and physical distancing markers throughout the Library. Service desks will be outfitted with plexiglass barriers to keep staff and patrons safe. Our maintenance staff will be sanitizing high-touch surfaces approximately every two hours.
What you can do to help keep the Library safe:
Don’t visit the Library if you are sick or required to self-isolate.
If you have symptoms like headache, fever, cough, or difficulty breathing, please stay home and wait until you’re symptom-free to visit the Library. Don’t visit the Library if you have returned from travel outside of Canada in the past 14 days or may have been exposed to COVID-19. Learn more.
Face coverings are strongly recommended.
Remember to practise physical distancing and follow the guidelines of local health authorities.
Remember to stay 2 metres away from others and cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue or your elbow while using the Library. You aren’t required to wear a mask to visit the Library, but you are welcome to. Don’t forget to frequently wash/sanitize your hands.
