#BlackLivesMatter was founded in 2013 in response to the acquittal of Trayvon Martin’s murderer. It is now an international human rights movement originating from within the African American community, which campaigns against violence and systemic racism towards black people.

U.S. Press Freedom Tracker is a nonpartisan website that aims to provide up-to-date, reliable, easy-to-access information on the number of press freedom violations (assaults, arrests, otherwise impeding ability to report) in the United States. They have created this dedicated page to capture the over 300 reported incidents during the anti-Black racism protests.
