For the fourth year running, West Vancouver Memorial Library has come away a winner at the annual American Library Association PR Xchange competition. Our Youth Department App Tumblr card won in the category of bibliographies/booklists, materials promoting collections, and our Welcome to the Library videos won in the patron orientation materials – electronic category.
“We strive for excellence in everything we produce, and we would like to thank the American Library Association for acknowledging the outstanding collective efforts of our staff,” says Director of Library Services Jenny Benedict.
Youth Department App Tumblr: These eye-catching cards have the look of a smartphone and contain curated information about educational apps available for kids on our Tumblr site.
Welcome to the Library videos: These multi-language videos, available in English, French, Korean, Tagalog, Farsi, Japanese and Chinese, take newcomers on a visually rich tour of the Library’s services, programs, spaces and faces.
Our entries were chosen from almost 400 print and electronic pieces submitted in 10 categories from public, academic, school, state and special libraries across North America. Entries were appraised on the quality of content, design and originality by a jury of 17 marketing professionals.
