For the 2021/2022 school year, Booktopia is going completely virtual with author/illustrator presentations streamed live via the Library YouTube channel for everyone to enjoy in January, February, and March (2022). We’ll also offer registered virtual creative and literary programs for kids in the weeks leading up to the presentations.
Started in 2005, Booktopia is West Vancouver’s Literary Arts Festival for young people. Booktopia promotes literacy, celebrates language arts and cultivates creative thought amongst kids, teens and families in West Vancouver. Past speakers have included Jacqueline Woodson, Jerry Craft, Kazu Kibuishi, Christina Soontornvat, Shane Koyczan and dozens of other internationally renowned authors and illustrators.
Booktopia is a partnership between the West Vancouver Memorial Library Foundation and West Vancouver Schools.
