Open for borrowing!

Visit us 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., Tuesday – Saturday for browsing and public computer use. Due to reduced occupancy, meeting rooms, study space, and seating are not available at this time.

Each of us has a role to play in our own health and the health of others. Please remember to practise physical distancing and only visit the Library if you are symptom-free.

New hours

Reduced occupancy

Public computer use

Enhanced safety measures

Beginning July 7, our new hours will be 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. Our LibraryConnect phone, chat, and email service will have these same hours. In addition, we’ll have dedicated service hours from 9 to 10 a.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays for the elderly and most vulnerable.

This means you may need to wait to enter the Library or the Youth Department until we can accommodate you. Due to reduced occupancy, there will be no study spaces, meeting rooms, or public seating available in the Library. At this time, all of our Library events and programs are virtual.

We have a limited number of public computers available for drop-in use. For computer and device help, you can continue to contact us on LibraryConnect—our tech staff are happy to help.

You’ll see lineups, signage, and physical distancing markers throughout the Library. Service desks will be outfitted with plexiglass barriers to keep staff and patrons safe. Our maintenance staff will be sanitizing high-touch surfaces approximately every two hours.

What you can do to help keep the Library safe:

Don't visit the Library if you're sick or required to self-isolate.

Remember to practise physical distancing and follow the guidelines of local health authorities.

Frequently wash/sanitize your hands.

If you have symptoms like headache, fever, cough, or difficulty breathing, please stay home and wait until you’re symptom-free to visit the Library. Don't visit the Library if you have returned from travel outside of Canada in the past 14 days or may have been exposed to COVID-19. Learn more.

Remember to stay 2 metres away from others and cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue or your elbow while using the Library. You aren't required to wear a mask to visit the Library, but you are welcome to.

Handwashing is your best defense against COVID-19. We have increased the number of hand sanitizer stations throughout the Library, and washrooms will be open.

Not ready to return to the Library just yet? Don’t worry—there are still many ways to connect with WVML virtually:
