We are now offering contactless holds pickup in the Library lobby through Library Takeout, the first phase of our return to in-person services! Just place a hold as you normally would and wait for an email notifying you that your items are ready for pickup. Our hours for holds pickup, book returns, and our LibraryConnect phone, chat, and email service are now Monday – Saturday, 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Stay tuned to our website for more details as we work towards a phased reopening of our facility.
What does this mean for WVML? We are expecting more detailed guidance from the province and we will use this guidance, along with advice from local health authorities, to create a WVML-specific plan. Our facility remains closed to public visits but we are still here for you through LibraryConnect.
We’re still here to support students and educators with ebooks, downloadable audiobooks, other digital resources and virtual programs.
This year, we invite community members to join our climate-themed reading challenge and explore our curated list of fiction and non-fiction titles. Through this challenge, we encourage everyone to read outside of our comfort zones, expand our collective understanding and start a larger discussion around the causes and lasting effects of climate change on our world. Browse the titles online and start reading, listening and watching!
