Storytelling Fun With Scratch: Madlibs! | Grades 4 – 6 [VIRTUAL]

Join Digital Access Librarian Wendy for some silly word fun and make your own wacky story using Scratch.

Some previous experience with Scratch, or other block-based coding programs, is required. Scratch is easy to learn, so you can take this tutorial before participating in the program if needed.

For this virtual program, we'll be using Zoom. We will use the “waiting room” feature on Zoom to let participants into the program one by one to keep things safe.

What you'll need:

A computer with microphone (or headphones) and webcam for Zoom and access to scratch.mit.edu; or your smartphone/tablet for Zoom and the Scratch App for Apple or Android.

Note: if you’re using the app instead of the browser-based version of Scratch, your interface will look a little different than what you see during the program (and that’s okay!)

An email address is required for registration. We will email you the Zoom link at least 2 hours in advance of the program.

Tuesday, April 14, 4 p.m. – 4:45 p.m.

For more information, call LibraryConnect at 604.925.7400 or email info@westvanlibrary.ca.

This program is now fully registered. Please contact the Department listed above to ask if there is a waiting list.
