A generous bequest in support of music at the Library from the estate of Robert Leslie Welsh, through the West Vancouver Memorial Library Foundation, allows us to host our free Friday Night Concert Series and afternoon concerts. We offer superb performances for every musical taste.
Classically trained at the Conservatory in Voronezh (Russia), members Vladimir Volokhin on the domra, Sergei Teleshev on the bayan, and Valeriy Petrukhin on the double-bass balalaika are known for their unconventional use of Russian instruments and folk melodies. Their diverse repertoire ranges from the works of Bach and Tchaikovsky, to Russian folk themes, bluegrass, Argentine tangos and popular songs by Gershwin.
