Tuesday, February 22 at 4 p.m.–4:45 p.m.

Free
  • « Device Clinics [VIRTUAL]
  • Babytime | Ages 0 – 2 [VIRTUAL] »

In Going Places by Peter H. Reynolds, two kids think outside the box to invent an amazing vehicle for a contest. In this program, you will use Tinkercad to design your own mode of transportation—a go-cart, a flying machine, or something entirely new!

Kids are expected to spend about 20 minutes learning before the program.

Booktopia

Transportation Innovation! Fun with Tinkercad is part of Booktopia, West Vancouver’s Literary Arts Festival for young people.

Peter H. Reynolds is a New York Times bestselling author and illustrator of many books for children, including Happy Dreamer, The Word Collector, Say Something!, and Be You!. Join one or all of our themed virtual programs prior to Booktopia: Create Bravely – The World Needs Your Voice! with Peter H. Reynolds on February 24!

Booktopia is a partnership between the West Vancouver Memorial Library Foundation and West Vancouver Schools.

What you’ll need: A computer with microphone (or headphones) and webcam for Zoom. Parents and caregivers can find information on creating a Zoom account here.

We will use the “waiting room” feature on Zoom to let participants into the program one by one to keep things safe.

An email address is required for registration. We will email you the Zoom link and more instructions 24 hours in advance of the program.
