Paws 4 Stories | Ages 6–12

Practise your reading skills by signing up for an appointment to read with Misty, a certified St. John Ambulance therapy dog! Research shows that reading to a dog is tremendously motivational for kids and provides a calming, relaxed environment for children who may feel hesitant or anxious about reading.

Paws 4 Stories runs Fridays, September 8–29. Sessions are 20 minutes. Misty wants to meet as many kids as possible. Please only register for a maximum of two sessions during the four-week series. Kids must be school-aged, able to read some English on their own, and feel comfortable reading with a dog and the dog’s adult handler.
