Operas of Mozart and Haydn with Nicolas Krusek [VIRTUAL]
Tuesday, February 16 at 10:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
An event every week that begins at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, repeating until February 17, 2021

This series is made possible thanks to a generous bequest in support of music at the Library from the estate of Robert Leslie Welsh, through the West Vancouver Memorial Library Foundation.
Gain a deeper understanding of the music you love through insightful lectures by entertaining and knowledgeable speakers, stimulating discussions and some great on-screen performances.
Join us as we explore the operatic output of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791) and Josef Haydn (1732-1809). We will discuss some popular favourites, alongside lesser-known gems that have only recently been rediscovered.
Online lecture topics:
- January 12 – Beginnings in Salzburg
- January 19 – Mastering his craft: Mozart in Italy
- January 26 – Opera at Eszterhaza
- February 2 – From Munich to Vienna
- February 9 – The Da Ponte collaborations
- February 16 – One step forward, one step backward
