North Shore Wildlife [VIRTUAL]
February 16, 2022 at 7 p.m.–8:30 p.m.
Free
Join Luci Cadman, Executive Director for the North Shore Black Bear Society, to learn about the amazing wildlife of the North Shore!
We share the North Shore with black bears, coyotes, and cougars. Responsible coexistence with our wild neighbours is possible if we learn more about their reasons for being in urban areas, act on ways to reduce attracting wildlife to our homes, and know how to respond during an encounter. This presentation will focus on black bears, their behaviour, biology, seasonal habits, clues bears are using an area, and what to do if you meet one. A short introduction to coyotes and cougars, their seasonal habits, and how to respond during an encounter concludes the evening.
Presented in partnership with the North Shore Black Bear Society.
