Gain a deeper understanding of the music you love through insightful lectures by entertaining and knowledgeable speakers, stimulating discussions, and some great on-screen performances. This series is made possible thanks to a generous bequest in support of music at the Library from the estate of Robert Leslie Welsh, through the West Vancouver Memorial Library Foundation.
Join longtime CBC producer Neil Ritchie as he celebrates the unique styles of five very different artists from the worlds of film, opera, jazz and more.
March 2 – Gordon Lightfoot, Canadian poet and singer-songwriter.
March 9 – Anna Moffo, American soprano, television personality, and actress.
March 16 – Norman Jewison, Canadian film director.
March 23 – Marvin Hamlisch, American pianist, conductor, and Broadway composer.
March 30 – South Pacific, a 1949 masterpiece by Rodgers and Hammerstein.
