Memory Café: Dog Therapy
Tuesday, July 5 at 10:30 a.m.–12 p.m.
Join us on our Rooftop Patio and enjoy a morning of canine cuddles, while learning all about the benefits and joys of Dog Therapy. Volunteers from St. John Ambulance will be bringing their Therapy Dogs to offer comfort, happiness, and companionship to members of the community.
No registration required. Drinks and snacks will be provided.
This event is part of the Memory Café series which is designed for participants who are experiencing dementia, as well as their families and friends.
- Memory Café: Art Therapy – Tuesday, July 12, 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
- Memory Café: Brain Health – Sunday, July 19, 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
This event takes place on the Readers’ Rooftop which is accessible by a ramp. This ramp is designed for vehicles and is steeper than a typical ramp for wheelchair users. Those using mobility devices may need assistance using the ramp.
For this in-person program:
- Masks are recommended. Anyone who wishes to continue wearing a mask may choose to do so and that choice is respected.
- Per Public Health updates, proof of vaccination is no longer required.
Stay home if you are feeling sick. Please use the hand sanitizer provided when you arrive. As the COVID-19 situation continues to change, this program may be modified or cancelled.
