
Memory Café: Art Therapy

Join us on our Rooftop Patio and learn all about Art Therapy with experienced Educator and Art Therapist, Karen Coulombe.
With the intent to stimulate the brain and socially interact in ways that feel positive and meaningful, Karen will lead people with dementia, paired with a caretaker or family member, to connect through collage making.
Registration is required as seats are limited. Drinks and snacks will be provided.
This event is part of the Memory Café series which is designed for participants who are experiencing dementia, as well as their families and friends.
- Memory Café: Dog Therapy – Tuesday, July 5, 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
- Memory Café: Brain Health – Sunday, July 19, 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Accessibility Information:
This event takes place on the Readers’ Rooftop which is accessible by a ramp. This ramp is designed for vehicles and is steeper than a typical ramp for wheelchair users. Those using mobility devices may need assistance using the ramp.
For this in-person program:
- Masks are recommended. Anyone who wishes to continue wearing a mask may choose to do so and that choice is respected.
- Per Public Health updates, proof of vaccination is no longer required.
- Pre-registration is required.
- Capacity is limited.
Stay home if you are feeling sick. Please use the hand sanitizer provided when you arrive. As the COVID-19 situation continues to change, this program may be modified or cancelled.
