Learn Python with Koala Koders | Ages 9 – 12
Wednesday, January 18 at 3:45 p.m.–5 p.m.
An event every week that begins at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday, repeating until February 1, 2023
In this series of classes, you’ll use VexCodeVR to learn the fundamentals of Python and apply these skills to robotics.
Learn about the core of a rover and a rover’s “anatomy” such as a sensor, a magnet detector, and more. By the end of this 4-week course, you should be comfortable designing your own basic algorithm in Python and be able to solve some intermediate-level problems on robotics.
We will use an online simulator for this class and not actual robots.
Registration is required and opens December 15 at 10 a.m. Registering more than one child? Please register each one separately. Caregivers of children younger than 10 years old must stay in the library for the duration of the program.
This is a series of four classes. By registering for one, you are registered for all. Please only register if you plan to attend all four classes.
About Koala Koders
Koala Koders started in May of 2022 with the goal to provide free coding education to kids and teens around the Vancouver area. Through Koala Koders, students will learn about fundamental coding concepts, how to create their own projects, and more, all while having fun doing so! Koala Koders is currently established at the North Vancouver District Library, North Vancouver City Library, and West Vancouver Memorial Library. We hope to engage our students and give them a jumpstart into the world of STEM!
