Garden Talks: Diversifying your Garden and Community with Seed Saving with David Catzel [VIRTUAL]
Thursday, May 4 at 11 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
Free
Join David Catzel to learn how to diversify your garden and community ecosystem through seed saving. Seeds connect us, as we grow crops that have been handed down to us through time in collaboration with other present day seed savers. When you allow plants to go through their full lifecycle, they produce nectar and pollen for all kinds of beneficial insects and bring an increased level of beauty to your gardenscapes.
David Catzel farmed vegetables, fruits, and seeds for 20 years prior to taking on the role of the BC Seed Security Program Manager for FarmFolk CityFolk. He has delivered workshops on gardening, composting, and permaculture design to adults and children throughout the Lower Mainland and has a special passion for sharing seed stewardship knowledge with people of all ages.
