Family Literacy: Word Collector Collage | Ages 5+ [VIRTUAL]
Saturday, February 19 at 11 a.m.–12 p.m.Free
In The Word Collector by Peter H. Reynolds, Jerome collects words that he hears, reads, or sees. What words will become part of your collection? In this program, we will read The Word Collector and then kids and families will work together to create a beautiful digital collage of their favourite words. We will be using Sketchpad for this program.
Families are expected to spend about 20 minutes learning before the program.
Adult caregivers stay and play during this program.
Family Literacy: Word Collector Collage is part of Booktopia, West Vancouver’s Literary Arts Festival for young people.
Peter H. Reynolds is a New York Times bestselling author and illustrator of many books for children, including Happy Dreamer, The Word Collector, Say Something!, and Be You!.
