Choose from one of these two Creativebug tutorials: Easiest Garter Stitch Slippers or Knitted Seed Stitch Slippers and use it as a guide to make your very own pair of knit slippers. All necessary supplies are listed in the tutorials. Bring your project with you to get in-person help and guidance!
For beginner+ knitters. Participants should already know how to cast on and have mastered the basic stitches of knit and purl.
Before becoming West Vancouver Memorial Library’s Arts and Special Events Programmer, Taren Urquhart was the owner of a small knitting company that specialized in high-performance yarn for the outdoor enthusiast. In addition to creating multiple patterns, slipper kits, and a line of knitting gadgets called “Stitch Dots,” Taren also partnered with Mountain Equipment Co-op to produce a line of whimsical winter hats for adults and children.
