Since the 1970s, bird populations have plummeted by almost 30 billion due to human-caused dangers. Climate change and biodiversity loss have heavily impacted birds, especially migrating birds who rely on water, food, and shelter on their long journeys. In the face of this crisis, is there anything we can personally do to help? Yes indeed – by making our homes and yards safer for birds and creating bird-friendly gardens that provide bird habitat, especially important in cities.
Join Penny Nelson to learn how to create bird-friendly gardens! This presentation offers suggestions and resources for gardeners who want to contribute to the shift towards creating and nurturing healthy ecosystems.
Event information:
- We will meet in the Welsh Hall on the lower level of the Library
