Book Buddies Group A | Ages 6-12 [VIRTUAL]

An event every week that begins at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, repeating until February 12, 2022
Practise your reading skills and play literacy games from home in this 25-minute program! Kids meet virtually with teen volunteers stationed and socially distanced at the Library on Zoom. Kids must be school-aged and able to read some English on their own in order to register for the program.
This program is part of a series that runs Saturdays, 2:30–2:55 p.m. from January 22–February 12. Participants must be able to attend all sessions. Registering below registers you for the entire series.
What you’ll need:
- Books from home ready to read, or kids can select an ebook with their book buddy.
- Computer with microphone (or headphones) and webcam for Zoom.
- Zoom account. Parents and caregivers can find information on creating a free Zoom account here.
Please ensure your child is in a comfortable and quiet space during this program.
We will use the “waiting room” feature on Zoom to let participants into the program one by one to keep things safe.
