Literature Criticism Online

A gold mine of reviews and criticism of novels, plays, poetry and other works by over 4000 authors writing from the late nineteenth century onward. The full-text or excerpted criticism is from books, magazines, literary reviews, newspapers and scholarly journals.

Just type in the author, title or topic in the search box. Great for student assignments or book clubs.

An outstanding resource for online learning with over 3,000 videos created and continually updated by subject experts. Classes range from accounting to web conferencing. Exceptional at teaching technical skills such as software for video editing, photography, coding, and even animation. Learn new applications, enhance your skills, advance your career. 

You can also download the Lynda.com app. Under the “Organization” tab type in westvanlibrary.ca and click on Login. You’ll be taken out of the app to login through the website with your library card number and pin. Use the app like you would the website, or download videos for offline viewing.
