Glenn Ryder — An Old School Naturalist

The Library offers practical, lifestyle and educational talks.

The passing of Glenn Ryder in 2013 marked the end of an era in nature observation and recording. No one in B.C. devoted so much time to the study of nature. He rejected a formal education for one in the woods, as nature was the only subject he cared for and the outdoors was the only classroom he willingly attended.

Who was Glenn Ryder, what did he accomplish and why should we know him?

Please join Phil Henderson, a zoologist and environmental consultant, as he discusses the life of Glenn Ryder and his enlightening experiences while working with Glenn in the woods.

Saturday, May 6, 2 p.m. – 4 p.m., Welsh Hall
